When two friends recall how they had spurred Sino-Tanzania relations…

It is Zimbabwean writer, Fadzai Mushayamunda, who once said that “Our best friends are often the people who we know and understand us the most.”

True to that quotation, yesterday Musoma Rural Member of Parliament, Prof Sospeter Muhongo, met his best friend in former Chinese Ambassador to Tanzania, Dr Lu Youqing, in the national capital, Dodoma, where Parliament is meeting for its ordinary sessions.

The two best friends, who previously worked together in strengthening the Sino-Tanzania relations, revisited key issues they had done to ensure the long-standing friendship between the two countries becomes stronger and stronger each passing day.

They also exchanged views on the international economic scene, particularly the integration into the global economy and the international system.

Currently, Dr Lu, who is on an official visit to Tanzania, is the Vice-President of China Tourism Group Corporation Limited (CTG), also known as China Travel Service (Holdings) Hong Kong Limited.
