Uhuru Torch Race leader Abdalla Shaib Kaim has recommended to President Samia Suluhu to take stern action against Rorya District Executive Director (DED)Abdul Omari Mtaka, for being non-cooperative during a dialogue with leaders of the race, who sought to be briefed on the projects they were supposed to launch yesterday.
Kaim said beside uttering lots of derogatory remarks against Uhuru Torch Race, the Rorya DED displayed a highest degree of rudeness, arrogance and contempt by refusing to reply to the questions he was being asked about various projects in the district council.
“We are number one representatives of President Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan in the Uhuru Torch Race 2023. This is her protocol, and there is no other authority whatsoever above us. I’m sorry to say we’ve been saddened by the DED’s behaviour, and I recommend to the President to take stern measures. I also ask other authorities to beware of Mtaka’s misconduct,’’ said Kaim.
