Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) department of communication was last night crowned winner of the Tanzania Public Relations and Communication Excellence Award in the category of “The Best use of influencers for the year 2023”.
The event to that effect was held at the St Peter’s Hall in Dar es Salaam and presided over by Deputy Minister for Information, Communication and Information Technology, Maryprisca Mahundi, as guest of honour.
The selection of the TANAPA communication department for the award demonstrates its frontline role in publicising the agency’s conservation and tourism activities which in recent years have seen the influx of tourists in the country.
The Tanzania Public Relations and Communication Excellence Awards are the brainchild of the non-profit Public Relations Society of Tanzania aimed to promote, motivate and encourage professional excellence among PR/communication practitioners in the country.
The Public Relations Excellence Awards in Tanzania carry important benefits to both the public relations profession and corporate entities enhancing public relations practice.
TANAPA, which manages 22 national parks countrywide, has, in collaboration with the Tanzania Tourist Board, launched a publicity campaign at home and abroad to attract tourists and investors to visit the country and put up projects in the conservation and tourist sub sectors.
