The executive committee of the Chama cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo (CHADEMA) in Serengeti Zone has issued displinary measures against its two senior leaders of Shinyanga Region.
The statement issued by the Party’s Serengeti Zone Publicity Secretary Golden Marcus yesterday said that the Shinyanga Regional Party Chairman Emmanuel Nyoni has been relieved from his position.
Alongside Ntobi, the regional Party Secretary Emmanueli Buyamba has also been suspended from engaging with any leadership activities of the Party for 12 months effective 29 April 2023.
They were both accused of violating party’s leadership ethics that were not clearly mentioned in the statement though.
Following the disciplinary actions to the two leaders, the Chairman of the Party’s Elderly Council will now act as Regional Chairman while the Regional Secretary of the Women Council (BAWACHA) will act as Regional Party Secretary with immediate effect.
Other Party activities will continue unaltered until when the extraordinary consultative meeting will be held on 6 May 2023 to discuss the way forward.
