Samia disbands TCRA Board, names new envoys

PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has disbanded the Board of Directors of the Tanzania Communication Regulatory Authority (TCRA) including the appointments of new ambassadors in changes announced early morning today.

A statement released by the State House did not give reasons for the break-up of the TCRA Board, but said the presidential order is effective from October 7.

The President has appointed James Gilawa Bwana the new Tanzanian Ambassador to South Africa, replacing Major General Gaudence Milanzi who has retired.

In the appointments, Ambassador Said Hussein Massoro has been picked as the Tanzanian envoy in Kuwait, taking over from Said Shaib Mussa who was appointed Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation.

President Samia has also appointed former Tanzania Agencies Shipping Corporation Director General Kaimu Abdi Mkeyenge the new Executive Director of the National Insurance Corporation.

He replaces Dr Elirehema Doriye who, the State House statement said will be assigned new duties.
