President Samia Suluhu Hassan has said Tanzania will continue strengthening the infrastructure to boost the current level of trade with Rwanda.
Addressing a joint press conference with Rwandan President Paul Kagame at the State House in Dar es Salam yesterday, President Samia said the good relations between the two countries are not reflected in the level of trade and plenty of available resources.
She noted that Tanzania is making improvements on her two major ports of Dar es Salaam and Tanga and other means of transportation for efficient delivery of service to Rwanda and her neighbours.
On his part, President Kagame said the two countries have firmly sustained their historical and economic cooperation for the benefit of their people. He also thanked President Samia for her dedication to help solve various challenges facing East African nations , including the Eastern part of DRC.
The Rwandan President is on a two day visit to Tanzania for talks with President Samia on issues related to trade, energy, infrastructure, defence and security, and other bilateral relations.
