President Samia Suluhu Hassan has reiterated that no one has muscle to either divide Tanzanians or sell this nation to the outside world.
Addressing the faithful during the commemoration of sixty years anniversary of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania ( ELCT) at Tumaini University in Makumira, Arusha Region yesterday, the President said her message was short and clear: “No one has muscle to tamper with the security, peace and unity of our nation.”
The President also seized the opportunity to ask religious leaders to engage their followers in environmental conservation, saying the world is now experiencing the consequences of man’s failure to adhere to God’s principles on the environment.
Earlier, when welcoming the President, ELCT leader Bishop Fredrick Shoo said the church supports investment and respects the President in her decisions and wisdom.
