Mwalimu Julius Nyerere University of Agriculture and Technology (MJNUAT) on October 13 began enrolment of students for the academic year 2023/2024 following a go-ahead by the Tanzania Commission of Universities (TCU).
The enrolment window will be closed on November 14, MJNUAT Vice-Chancellor Prof Lesakiti Mellau told participants at a workshop of the Higher Education for Economic Transformation (HEET) project in Tabora early this week.
“We have decided to enroll 150 students because it is easier for a lecturer to supervise them during their practical training, and the other reason lies with accommodation depending on the infrastructure that we have,” Prof Mellau said.
The new university began student enrolment in 2015 following the rehabilitation of the Oswald Mang’ombe Campus buildings in the 2022/2023 financial year.
