Nyambari Nyangwine Foundation alleviates text book shortages in Tarime schools

The Nyambari Nyangwine Foundation has enhanced its mission of supplying text books to secondary schools in Tarime district, Mara region, as part of helping government efforts in improving education in the area.

Yesterday Monday books worth 12m/- were donated to six secondary schools of Nyamisangura, Iganana, Nkende, Rebu, Bomani and Angel House.

A spokesman of the foundation, Jacob Mugini, who supervised the book distribution exercise to the earmarked schools, said investment in education was a critical component in Tanzania’s development in this digital age experiencing awesome scientific advances.

Receiving the books, Nyamisangura Secondary School headmaster, Zacharia Kabengo, thanked the foundation for its generous donation, saying it will ease the shortage hitherto heavily experienced by the student community.

Some councillors from the ruling CCM party witnessed the handing over of the books to the selected schools, saying it was a good gesture in improving the learning climate in public schools.

It is expected that upon completion, the book donation exercise will cost more than 100m/-.
