Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) has issued a statement confirming that a group of journalists and government staff were attacked while educating wananchi who had turned up to enroll for voluntary vacating Endulen village in the crater.
“While the exercise was in progress, a group of armed Maasai moran (warriors) brutally assaulted the journalists and government workers using traditional weapons ,’’ NCAA said in a statement yesterday.
The injured were rushed to FAME Medical in Karatu for emergency medical treatment.
While expressing its regret over the matter, the NCAA says it is teaming up with the police to bring all the culprits to book.
