Mtanda transferred to Mwanza as Mtambi takes over Mara region

President Samia Suluhu Hassan has made several changes in the government administrative structure, transferring Mara Regional Commissioner (RC) Said Mohamed Mtanda to Mwanza region, the State House in Zanzibar announced today March 31.

He will take over from Amos Gabriel Makalla whom the State House said will be assigned other duties.

The president has elevated Mkinga District Commissioner in Tanga region, Col. Evans Alfred Mtambi, as the new Mara Regional Commissioner.

Outspoken head of the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi department of ideology, publicity and training, Paul Christian Makonda, has been named the new Arusha Regional Commissioner, taking over from John Mongela who will be assigned other duties.

The changes also saw the elevation of Deogratias Ndejembi from Deputy Minister in the Prime Ministers Office (Labour, Youth, Employment and People with Disabilities) to full minister in the same docket, replacing Prof Joyce Ndalichako who has been dropped.

Member of Parliament (Special Seats) Zainab Athuman Katimba becomes the new Deputy Minister in the Prime Ministers Office (Labour, Youth, Employment, and People with Disabilities) while another legislator, Daniel Baran Sillo, has been appointed the new Deputy Minister in the Home Ministry taking over from Jumanne Sagini who has moved to the Justice and Constitutional Affairs ministry.
