Chama Cha Mapinduzi Mainland Vice-Chairman, Abdulrahman Kinana, was yesterday conferred the title of chief of the Waikoma tribesmen as he started a four-day tour to inspect party activities in Mara region.

The chieftainship ceremony was held at Robanda village in Serengeti district where the reigning Waikoma chief, Kenyatta Richard, said the title was specifically to honour Kinana’s great contribution to the ruling party’s activities, and for being a devoted servant of the people.

Responding to the honour, Kinana, who was named Chief Marasi, thanked the Robanda residents for valuing his leadership, promising that he would use the title to bring development to the people.

The CCM Vice-Chairman was accompanied by the party’s National Executive Committee member, Christopher Mwita Gachuma, who used the occasion to thank the Robanda villagers for their warm reception.
