Hundreds of thousands of Musoma Rural residents are today killing two birds with one stone: Celebrating to welcome New Year 2024 as well as observing the opening of four new secondary schools to give a chance to the thousands of primary school leavers to continue with their education as far as they can go.

This is the message from the Musoma Rural Member of Parliament, Prof. Sospeter Muhongo, to the millions of Tanzanians as they welcome the New Year and celebrate the giant leap made in strengthening the education sector – the key to the rapid scientific and technological advances in this supersonic age.

Musoma Rural Constituency with 21 wards will now have 31 secondary schools — 29 being ward and two private.

In his New Year message yesterday, Prof. Muhongo named the new secondary schools as Nyasaungu in Ifulifu ward, Muhoji – Bugwema ward, Ekwabi Memorial Sekondary School – Suguti ward, and Rukuba, in Rukuba island – Etaro ward.
