Tight schedule as Prime Minister visits Mara Region

Prime Minister (PM) Kassim Majaliwa arrived in Musoma yesterday to start a five-day visit to all districts of Mara Region where he is scheduled to inspect and launch an array of development projects, meet with management, employees and address public rallies.

Addressing a press conference in his office on Friday, Mara Regional Commissioner (RC) Said Mtanda said the PM will inaugurate development projects in the sectors of administration, education, health and infrastructure.

“All the necessary logistics are in place. I would like to thank everyone who joined forces during the preparations of the Prime Minister’s visit,” said Mtanda.

On the PM’s work schedule, Mtanda said he will be in Bunda District on 26/2/2024 (today) where he will inspect Sabasita Primary School and lay the foundation stone for construction of Mara Girls’ Secondary School. He will also inaugurate Sazira Water Project. Thereafter, the PM will address a public rally at Miembeni Primary School.

The PM will lay the foundation stone for construction of the District Commissioner’s office in Butiama on 27/2/2024, hold meetings with management and staff and thereafter visit Mwalimu Julius Nyerere’s home at Mwitongo area, according to the RC.

Besides Bunda and Butiama, other districts of the region which will be hosting PM Majaliwa include Serengeti, Musoma, Rorya and Tarime, where he will also inspect various development projects and address public rallies. He winds up his visit on 29/2/2024.
