Minister of State in the President’s Office (Regional Administration and Local Government) Mohamed Mchengerwa, has effective today suspended the Executive Director of the Busega District Council, Veronica Vincent Sayore, to pave the way for investigations following complaints against her leadership style.
The minister took this decision after receiving criticisms of unsatisfactory leadership, being uncooperative to other fellow leaders and not involving them in the implementation of development projects.
A press statement issued today by the information unit of the ministry said Mchengerwa has directed the Permanent Secretary to form a probe committee to investigate Sayore’s behaviour of leadership and the expenditure of funds allocated for implementation of Busega District Council development projects.
The minister urged District Executive Directors nationwide to adhere to the concept of participatory leadership involving leaders and the general public to work as a team in the implementation of development projects.
